The first-ever OMV OPEN Czech Republic Sprint Motocross Championship (MX SPRINT) will take place in Pacov – motocross as you’ve never seen it before!
Automotoklub Pacov (AČR) is proud to introduce the MX SPRINT project – a revolutionary racing concept designed to refresh the domestic scene and bring the thrill of motorcycle racing to the wider public. This unique format combines the explosive energy of motocross with a thrilling knockout system inspired by speedway racing. The event will take place in Pacov on July 11, 2026! Spectators can look forward to a dynamic spectacle at the Pacovský Propad arena, where victory is decided by pure aggression in short, intense heats.
Race format
Forget the standard two-moto format; this race is different from the ground up!
- Instead of the full track, a modified 1,000-meter section of the Pacovský Propad circuit will be used (A preview of the planned track layout can be viewed at the bottom of this page).
- The race is limited to a maximum of 40 riders. Each participant will undergo free practice followed by a timed (qualifying) session.
- The top 16 riders from qualifying (+ 2 alternates) will advance to the main event, starting at 17:00.
- The main event consists of 20 heats, with 4 riders in each. A round-robin system ensures that every rider competes against everyone else.
Points System per Heat:
- 1st Place: 3 points
- 2nd Place: 2 points
- 3rd Place: 1 point
- 4th Place: 0 points
After 20 heats, the top 8 point-scorers advance to the semi-finals. The top two riders from each semi-final then move on to the GRAND FINAL. This will be the pinnacle of the event, where riders fight for the first-ever Czech National Championship title in the MX SPRINT discipline!
In addition to the title, riders will compete for prizes and prize money totaling over 100,000 CZK! Awards will be given to the overall winner, the “Holeshot King,” the rider with the fastest lap time, and more.
Event Schedule
Full facilities are provided for riders and their crews. Capacity is strictly limited to 40 participants, and pre-registration is required.
The sporting day will conclude with a cultural program to celebrate the community spirit of this new event. More information will be posted regularly on our social media.
